I think that it is important for airlines to be accountable to what people think of them because in today's world, airlines kind of have the authority to act however they want without any consequences. People rarely remember what airlines they fly unless they always fly Delta Airlines or whatever airlines they choose. However, about one third of Americans use third party ticket websites to get deals on their air fare, and this can lead to people switching airlines a lot. When the service is unsatisfactory, most people do not remember the airlines and therefore do not associate the bad service or delays or whatever it was with a particular airline. Anyway, I think you can guess that I am pretty critical of Delta Airlines. I have had a bad experience with them several times. Once, a connecting flight with Delta was cancelled and they failed to get me on another flight. I missed the following flight, which was with another airlines, and ended up being in the airport for around twenty-four hours, with no apologies. They also messed up my baggage and it was one huge mess. I was very disappointed with the level of service and their attitude toward the passengers who were missing flights like me. Anyway, if it is a short flight and you can find a good air fare it probably won't hurt. But if you are flying internationally or having to switch planes, I would definitely go with a more trustworthy airlines.

I don't recall ever having a major problem with Delta Airlines, although I do feel that there are better airlines. One way for you to get a better idea about what most Delta Airlines customers really think about them is to check up on airlinequality.com. They have a pretty extensive database of customer reviews. For example, there are over seven hundred customers that have responded on the topic of Delta Airlines, and their overall score looks pretty low. They are rated (overall) with less than four points out if ten, which you can see is definitely below average. Actually, the first comment written is by someone who is upset that he purchased four first class seats on a Delta flight and they bumped him and his family back to coach at the last minute, also failing to reimburse him for his wasted frequent flier miles. This is a big problem and if it were me I would be pretty upset. They also have pretty bad food on the flight, if they give you anything at all.
